 Laser Genesis Skin Therapy is an innovative, technologically advanced treatment that encourages vibrant and healthy looking skin.  Laser Genesis improves the appearance of: excessive redness unsightly small veins and capillaries large open pores acne  surgical scars As the name suggests it uses laser therapy to gently heat the deep layers of skin and promote new collagen production. It can be used to correct many skin conditions including diffuse and excessive redness, uneven skin texture

The treatment results are often subtle. On average you may require four to 6 treatments in order to achieve optimal results. You can have laser genesis 1-4 weeks apart.

The laser works by heating the upper dermis well below the skin surface, additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.

Before the treatment you may be recommended products to prep your skin to ensure that skin is in good condition therefore leading to enhance results. Generally our clinican will prep you on A< B and C.

No pain, treatment is often described as relaxing and therapeutic therefore local anesthetic is not required for the treatment.

No, you do not there is essentially no down time with this treatment, you can experience mild pinkness that subsites within in a few hours.

You MUST avoid sun exposure for at least 3 weeks before and after the treatment because the area treated will be more prone to burning and increased pigmentation during this period. Apply a 30+ or 50+ sunblock frequently and daily for 1-2 weeks after treatment.

The success of this treatment requires expert skin analysis, pre treatment prepping and post care advice with ongoing maintenance protocols. Your full treatment package includes all the products you will be required to use during and after the peel. 

Cosmelan is a professional depigmentation peel system. It is a two-phase process with the first step performed in the clinic. The Cosmelan 1 peel is applied to the face and left   on for 8-12 hours. On the third day the skin will have some extreme peeling. After 7 days the second step is to start using the included Cosmelan 2 is applied to prevent reoccurrence and is required for 6 months. This is a tyrosinase inhibitor, which works by sedating the production of excess  melanin.

The treatment also includes a 12 week home care program of cleanser, moisturisers and sunscreen.

A thorough consultation is required prior to this peel and maintenance product use is essential. Winter is the best time to have this peel done when there is less UVR. The peeling phase usually lasts 7 -14 days.

YES! In fact, this is the best treatment for Melasma as there is no heat!
    

When it comes to Melasma regular maintenance program is essential to reduce the chances of reoccurrence. Cosmelan Professional Treatment may be required every 12 months in severe cases. However, Cosmelan 2 cream, a tyrosinase inhibitor is required for as long as the person wishes to prevent the formation of new pigmentation. This means if you would like to control melasma you will be required to continue to use this.

1. Preparation: 4 weeks prior Introduce Brightening Peel Booster daily as part of skin care routine.
2. Lactic Acid 30% Peel Applied 2x prior to Cosmelan
3. Treatment day in clinic, mask is applied, you gone home leaving mask on for 8-12 hours as advised by clinican.
4. Relax at home for a few days and let cosmelan do its magic. 

Aftercare: 6 months
